Tulips

March has come and this morning the first tulips saw the light. It is their turn now. They were planted last Autumn and silently and slowly, they grew in the warmth of the soil throughout the Winter season until today, when they announced their presence with a “good morning”.

I enjoyed taking pics at breakfast time, while they bashfully showed their golden stigma and their beautiful corolla, made of a crown of petals, which is going to bloom like a bright vivid pinkish-purplish-red striationed and white colored cup. Soon, there will be more of them, wearing colorful dresses to cheer the green terrace and to tell that Spring has come to stay.
