The taste of Christmas time baking Svenska pepparkakor.

Good morning and a wonderful Saturday to everybody. Christmas will come soon in a month and, at this time of the year, we enjoy decorating our home with some crisp gingerbread. Of course, this year, as usual, we will follow the tradition of having fun like children by baking ginger biscuits made with the molds we bought in Stockholm years ago. We love the fragrances of spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves spreading everywhere in the house. Svenska pepparkakor look so pretty hanging on the Christmas tree, or as pretty decorations that embellish fresh fir branches on the fireplace, or in the centerpiece of the Christmas table.

What is more, Svenska pepparkakor are also a welcome snack to serve in many occasions during Christmas holidays with warm coffee and tea at any time of the day. And, of course, we can’t miss, on Christmas Eve, to reserve a dish of them for the arrival of Father Christmas.
