It’s the Week for Celebrating Italian Cuisine around the World

After last week’s sunny days, which reminded us of the first days of Autumn, at the beginning of this week, we slowly entered a new phase of the season, which continued to offer very mild temperatures in Apulia but also offered a nod to bizarre weather, alternating between bright rays of sunshine and occasional showers.

This is the week we celebrate Italian cuisine around the world. For this occasion, we didn’t think about any special dishes, except for what we usually enjoy preparing and serving to family, friends and guests sometimes.

We’re in the heart of November and, in our kitchen, we’re already starting to savor flavours of the Advent season. So far, we spent good time in the kitchen baking some delicious, fragrant, and incredibly soft bread. Then, it was the turn for a wonderful, crispy shortcrust tart with excellent strawberry jam, perfect for after dinner or to serve it with a nice cup of tea or coffee during cozy moments.

Yesterday, after returning from a long and busy day and walking 8.5 km into the city, it was time for a succulent and velvety barley soup with zucchini. In the end, today, we prepared a delicious pumpkin cream with the warm scents and colors of Autumn and the flavors of home. Want to try it? Visit us!
