Fast dish: Spaghetti alla chitarra, tomato sauce and crisp breadcrumbs

Spaghetti alla chitarra

A fabulous Sunday at the end of May to confirm the beginning of a new season, which is round the corner. Just back from the sea house, where I enjoyed little time this morning for planning some work and garden activities, here I am in the kitchen for cooking a fast dish that has the taste of Summer.

When the water boils in the pot, I add a generous quantity of spaghetti alla chitarra, some sea salt and let them cook until they are “al dente”. Meanwhile, I melt a knob of butter in the frying pan and start toasting the breadcrumbs. I add small sage leaves from my green terrace to flavor.

Finally, after straining spaghetti, I serve them with some tomato sauce, handfuls of crisp breadcrumbs and leaves of basil on top.

I invite you all to try to make this fast dish. It’s simply delicious and a good way to say hello to Summer time.

Enjoy spaghetti alla chitarra and a good week, everybody 🍝 😊
