A bit of a Christmas tree. Last night at dinner table a delicious dish of the local Christmas tradition came as a gift. This particular dish, its sight and flavor are epiphany of childhood and cheerful moments with the family. It is the memory of dear aunts, one of them, in particular, who passed away last year around this time of the year, (she was 101). Every year, it was a joy for them to make this delicate work of confectionery art for us children with patience, love and devotion. Now this tradition is handed down as poetry making us think that our loved ones are still with us.
